Garage Door Repair Reviews in Grand Rapids Area, MI (Updated June 2026)

We have a 74 year old solid wood garage door that broke today at 10:00am. I had a service tech, Tyler Kerry, at our door at 2:45pm. Tyler assessed the problem, clearly explained all the options available, and provided us with estimates for each option. After making our choice Tyler fixed the door doing a thorough job. Excellent service and communication! We highly recommend Precision Garage door and are thankful for the superior job Tyler did for us!

we had used Precision door about 6 months ago for new opener motor. called 9 a.m on 4/08/26, got call from service person, Austin in 10-15 min! he was only one working and was 45 min away and showed up in 40 min. he was extremely pleasant, evaluated the door problem, provided a reasonable quote. 30 min later he was done door was working great (cables had jumped from spools), provided some advice and off he went! we will be calling again in about 6 months for another opener motor on different door. Jordan was super nice and put up with all of our interruptions and questions. He did a great job and we are happy with the results. If we had one complaint, it would be that the price ($1200) seemed really steep for just installing new springs. In fairness, we didn't get estimates from anyone else. We've used Precision in the past, and know they are a quality company, so we just went with them. Maybe next time we'll get other estimates. But we do recommend Precision if you're looking for a solid company with excellent service!
