They wanted to charge us $1400 to fix the springs. There was a service charge of $75 which we paid and the guy had the garage opened but closed it and told us it was another $100 to get it back opened (our cars inside). We called another company and they fixed the garage door for $345. Precision was just looking to sell us a new door. The guy thought if the repair was high enough we would just spring for a new one. Not good business!

Repair was quick, no ordering parts, no pressure, walked through everything and given options. Paid with a check and everything's working great.

This was my first experience with Precision and I was very pleasantly surprised. They came out the same day I called accommodated my schedule. My tech Brad called 20 minutes ahead to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he did a complete inspection of my door and opener and walked me through everything. In the end he came up with a couple of repair options and discussed each. No hard sale or up sale just honest discussion. I was expecting to have to set up an additional repair appointment but he was able to do it right away. All in all GREAT service at a reasonable price I couldnt be happier. I had a broken lift cable on my door, and a little damage from unknowingly trying to open it. Based on positive feedback in the community, and after leaving a few voicemails to companies on the Saturday afternoon it happened, I found Precision online, and was able to make an appointment on their portal. This included a brief description of the issue, and a selection of available times. I picked the first window that Monday morning. Communication was great from booking the appointment to Eric's arrival promptly at 7:15am. A quick look at the issue, and I was out of luck. Another contractor-grade install that just gave out after losing its durability, and a product that Precision doesn't service. I couldn't find who had repaired the internal spring 5-6 years prior (and no service sticker), so I was left with two choices: upgrade to the external torsion spring, or find someone who services the brand of door (still waiting on 3 voicemail call backs). Eric gave me some time after detailing what the retrofit/conversion would include, cost, and time. He checked that he had the right sizes and parts on his truck while I decided. Having a financing partner greatly assisted in the decision to go ahead with the repair. He said about 2 hours, and despite the questions I asked, his detailed explanations, and friendly conversation, he was done in 2 hours, including small fixes to the track attachments and safety feature alignment. He was professional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and patient - everything you'd look for in someone to fix something way out of your wheelhouse. I would recommend Precision to anyone looking for repair, upgrade, or replacement for garage doors. The financing went very quick as well, though only a week into this (working on setting up the payments, statements, etc.), so would have to return and update the review for that part, but it should be fine.

Scheduling was easy using their online tool. I received regular communications via email and text, and even received my technicians picture and location before he arrived. My technician, Steve Wells, was friendly, understanding, and finished the repair in about 30 mins. Thanks, Steve! The repair was pricier than I expected, which is the only reason for the four stars as opposed to 5.
